Church has after-school program

DOWNEY - First Presbyterian Church of Downey is now taking registration for its after-school program for kids in grades 1-8.Kids are given help with homework and tutors are on-site to help with reading and math. Other classes include art, piano, guitar and sports. The program operates Monday through Thursday, from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m. For more information, call Alfredo Delgado at (562) 861-6752. Registration is taken in the church office.
