City toy drive starts Monday

DOWNEY - The city's 24th annual holiday toy drive begins Monday and ends Dec. 11.Collection bins will be placed at City Hall, the Barbara J. Riley Community & Senior Center, all Downey fire stations, all Downey public schools, the library, and at many local businesses displaying a city toy collection box. Toys must be new and unwrapped. No used toys will be accepted. Toys will be distributed through the Downey PTA HELPS' holiday basket program, the fire department's Operation Santa, and to other local children's organizations.
