Clippers’ Terance Mann hosting basketball clinic at Apollo Park

DOWNEY — Los Angeles Clippers guard Terance Mann is hosting an all-day youth basketball clinic at Apollo Park this Sunday. 

Participants were chosen from the Downey Parks & Recreation Department’s Premier Elite Basketball Development Program and were identified as kids that would benefit from the programming. 

The clinic is the first event hosted by Mann’s newly-formed charitable organization, the Terance Mann Complete Player Foundation (TMCPF). 

"With the TMCPF, we're on a mission to impact youth in our community and inspire them to make good choices and pursue their dreams," Mann said. "Our foundation is all about encouragement. For me, as a kid I found a haven in basketball, and many of the experiences we'll create are around the game, but ultimately we're looking to drive an impact beyond ball. This tip-off event is a showcase of what you can expect in the future- a group dedicated to making an impact. We look forward to partnering with many different organizations down the line that share our vision."
