Friday, June 4At 6 p.m., a male walking to his car in the 12000 block of Lakewood Blvd. was approached by a suspect holding a knife, demanding money and a ride. The suspect forced the victim to drive to Pico Rivera. The suspect took the victim's cellular phone and fled on foot. The victim was not injured. At 11 p.m., witnesses observed a dark colored vehicle driving in the 7500 block of 4th Place. Witnesses heard the sound of glass breaking and saw flames erupt in the street. The suspect vehicle was stopped in the area of Slauson and the 605 Freeway. Officers found a container of gasoline in the trunk. Three suspects were arrested for arson. Saturday, June 5 At 6:20 a.m., four suspects, armed with a handgun, entered a business (music recording studio) located in the 11500 block of Downey Avenue and took jewelry and other items from the victims. Also taken were various pieces of recording equipment. No one was injured. Detectives are investigating. At 7:45 p.m., Downey Gang Detectives stopped a car at Paramount and Alameda that was wanted out of Pico Rivera for felony evading. The two occupants were detained and released to the Sherriff's Department for investigation. Sunday, June 6 At 10 p.m., a male victim was walking in the 8700 block of Rosecrans when he was stabbed in the neck by an unknown suspect. The Downey Fire Department transported the victim to a local hospital where he was treated and released. At 10:20 p.m., a 17-year-old Downey resident was walking southbound on Rives toward Phlox when he was confronted by a suspect who pointed a handgun at him and demanded the victim's valuables. The victim complied and the suspect drove away. At 11:40 p.m., a 42-year-old Las Vegas resident was withdrawing money from the Bank of America ATM at 11021 La Reina when he was confronted by a suspect who drew a handgun and ordered the victim to hand over his money. Monday, June 7 At 5:55 a.m., officers pursed a vehicle for a traffic violation in the area of Woodruff and Imperial. The pursuit was turned over to a Los Angles County Sheriff's Department helicopter. The suspects were ultimately arrested in Artesia for grand theft auto and possession of a stolen handgun. Tuesday, June 8 At 9:43 p.m., an attempted robbery occurred at the Bank of America located at 11021 La Reina. The victim was withdrawing money from the ATM machine when the suspect pointed a handgun at him and demanded money. After a brief struggle, the victim was able to break free. The suspect fled the scene; the victim was not injured. Wednesday, June 9 A vehicle burglary occurred in the 7500 block of Calmcrest.
