Crime Report - 7/6/22

On June 26 at 2:30 pm, officers responded to the area of Stewart & Gray Rd and Woodruff Ave. in regards to an assault with a deadly weapon. The adult victim was "cut off" by the suspect while driving.  As they stopped for the signal, the victim told the suspect to slow down. The suspect exited his vehicle, approached the victim's open window, brandished a pocket knife, and attempted to slash the victim. The victim was able to move and avoid the knife. The suspect scratched the side of the victim's car with the knife before fleeing the scene. 

On June 27, officers were dispatched to a delayed assault with a deadly weapon. At 7 pm, the adult victim was in the area of Dunrobin Ave. and Foster Rd. when the unknown suspect approached and struck the victim in the face with a metal pipe. The victim went to a local hospital for treatment and responded to the station to report the crime. 

On June 27 at 11:05 am, officers were dispatched to the 10500 block of Arrington Ave. in regards to a carjacking. The victim was standing outside his vehicle and left it running. The unknown suspect entered the victim's vehicle. The suspect drove the vehicle as the victim held onto the door. The victim eventually had to let go and fall to the ground. The suspect fled out of sight.

On June 28 at 5 pm, the victim responded to the station to report an armed robbery that occurred the prior day. The victim stated he was near 8626 Firestone Blvd. when he was hit over the head with a metal pipe by the suspect. The suspect took the victim's cell phone, wallet and car keys and fled the area. Officers responded to the area and located evidence.

On June 30 at 6:25 on, officers responded to Aloha Liquor (11837 Lakewood Blvd.) regarding a male armed with a knife, who was fighting with the store clerk.  Arriving officers located one victim with a stab wound. The suspect was located in the area still armed with a knife. After a lengthy standoff the suspect was taken into custody and arrested.
