Crime Report: May 3-7, 2026
On 5/3/26 at approximately 0100 hours, a male victim was inside a downtown nightclub on Downey Avenue when he attempted to intervene in an altercation. During the incident, a male suspect stole the victim’s necklace. Both parties exited the nightclub, and the victim followed the suspect to a vehicle and demanded the return of his property. The driver then pointed a firearm at the victim and ordered him to leave. The two suspects fled the scene in the vehicle. Officers responded but were unable to locate the suspects. A robbery report was taken, and detectives are investigating.
On 5/4/26 at approximately 1700 hours, officers responded to the 7300 block of Country Club Drive regarding a residential burglary. Suspect(s) entered the residence, stole a safe containing cash, ransacked the home, and took jewelry. A firearm was also reported stolen. Detectives are investigating.
On 5/5/26 at approximately 1230 hours, unknown suspect(s) stole fiber optic wire from overhead electrical poles in the 9100 block of Firestone Boulevard. The estimated loss was approximately $35,000. Detectives are investigating.
On 5/7/26 at approximately 0730 hours, officers responded to the 7800 block of Gardendale Street regarding a theft report. It was discovered that approximately $5,000 worth of copper wire had been stolen. Detectives are investigating.
