Crime Report - Oct. 4, 2016

Friday, Sept. 23:

At 12:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the downtown area regarding a possible stolen vehicle.
Officers located the vehicle in the Habit parking lot. The driver, a 25-year-old man from Los Angeles, was taken into custody without incident. He was booked for Grand Theft Auto and transferred to County Jail. The vehicle had been reported stolen from the City of Montclair.

At 1:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to a disturbance at Downey Brewing, involving a man with a
gun. Upon arrival, officers determined nobody had a gun, but two men who were causing the disturbance were arrested for warrants. 

Saturday, Sept. 24:

At 10:00 a.m., an officer conducting a traffic stop had the driver of the vehicle flee from him on foot. The suspect ran into a bar in the 9000 block of Imperial Hwy attempting to elude capture. The suspect was located and assaulted an officer before being taken into custody. The suspect was ultimately arrested and found to have a “no bail” parole warrant out for his arrest. He was booked for assaulting an officer and for his warrant.

At 7:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Florence & Rives regarding a subject running in and out of traffic lanes. Officers located the 25-year-old Downey man and determined he was under the influence of illegal drugs. He was placed under arrest.

At 10:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a family disturbance in the 7200 block of Luxor. Two brothers had been arguing at their home and one brother hit his sibling in the head with a glass bottle and then fled the scene. Detectives are investigating. 

Sunday, Sept. 25: 

At 8:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to a family disturbance in the 7300 block of Neo. Upon arrival, officers located a 25-year-old man from Los Angeles who had broken into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and assaulted her. Officers detained the suspect and arrested him for domestic violence. The suspect was transported to the Los Angeles County Jail.
