Diana Rice worked at Rockwell

DOWNEY - Diana Marie Rice (Sanchez) passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 12. She was 65.She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Steve; sons, Anthony and James; mother, Blaza; a granddaughter, Jaiden; six sisters; four brothers; and many nieces and nephews. Rice was born in Artesia on Sept. 29, 1944. She grew up in Downey and worked at Rockwell International's space shuttle division. She was an avid gardener, and her home was selected three times as a Beautification Award winner by the city of La Mirada. A celebration of life will be held at a sister's home in Downey on Sunday.
