Donate food, watch a play

LONG BEACH - The Long Beach Playhouse is offering free admission to see "The Plight Before Christmas" to anyone who donates human or pet food Dec. 2.The family-friendly show begins at 8 p.m. and seating is limited to 200 people. Admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis. In "The Plight Before Christmas," Ebeneezer Humbug is about to "raise the dickens" by foreclosing on everyone in town and forcing Felicity Fuzziwig to marry him - much to the dismay of his clerk, Bob Scratchit. The play features five song parodies and puns galore. The Long Beach Playhouse is at 5021 E. Anaheim St. in Long Beach.
