Downey Symphony opens new concert season Oct. 14

DOWNEY – Tickets are now on sale for the Downey Symphony’s Oct. 14 concert at the Downey Theatre, titled “Tides of Love.”

Under the direction of music director Sharon Lavery, the orchestra will perform “Dances in the Canebrakes” by Florence Price and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5. There will also be a special performance by baritone Anthony Moreno.

Preceding the concert is an art exhibit by the Downey Arts Coalition.
