Downey teen chosen for West Point leadership program

DOWNEY – Downey’s Viviana Gonzalez has been accepted into West Point’s exclusive Summer Leaders Experience program. Viviana, who is a junior at Cornelia Connelly High in Anaheim, will spend a week living in the cadet barracks and participating in academic, leadership, athletic and military workshops.

The program is designed to help students with their college-selection process, while giving them an idea of the importance of leadership and sound decision-making in their education, careers, and lives in general.
