Downey to host emergency preparedness fair at Golden Park

DOWNEY — The City of Downey will host an Emergency Preparedness Fair on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Golden Park.

The free, family-friendly event is designed to help residents learn practical skills that could save lives during an emergency. Participants will have the opportunity to extinguish fires, perform hands-only CPR, and fill sandbags under the guidance of local safety experts.

The fair also offers free giveaways while supplies last, along with valuable information on emergency supplies, first aid kits, and disaster response plans.

The event is organized by the City’s Emergency Management Division.
