DRMC hosting blood drive

DOWNEY - Downey Regional Medical Center will host a blood drive Aug. 20 from 12-6 p.m. to benefit the American Red Cross.Donors must be in good health, at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), and weight at least 110 pounds. People may be turned away if they are pregnant, have traveled to certain parts of the world, have health conditions, or are taking certain medications. A healthy donor may donate red blood cells every 56 days. All donors will receive a gift certificate for a free ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery.
