Failure to yield

Dear Editor:Two weeks ago in your paper there was an article about the new cameras installed in Downey police cruisers and how they can record everything the officers see while on patrol. I think they should patrol Paramount Boulevard just south of Telegraph Road. Each morning while the school bus is loading kids with red lights flashing and the stop sign activated on the side of the bus, police should record all the vehicles that ignore the red lights and sail right on by. They could probably pay for a few of the cameras with the fines they would pick up there and probably everywhere else school buses stop. - Jim Lucas, Downey
