Free for veterans: food, haircuts, car washes, and a manicure

DOWNEY — U.S. military veterans will have their choice of free meals, products and services as the country shows its appreciation Monday.

For the sixth consecutive year, The Pride Barbershop in Downey is offering free haircuts to U.S. military veterans on Veterans Day.

Veterans can also receive a free manicure, courtesy of The Pride By Her.

Veterans interested in a free haircut and/or manicure can visit The Pride this Monday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. There will also be free coffee and donuts.

Unique Auto Spa, located at 7624 Firestone Blvd., is offering veterans a free deluxe car wash.

Several restaurants are offering free meals to veterans, including Applebee’s, IHOP, Hooters, Buffalo Wild Wings, Sizzler, Chili’s, Chipotle (BOGO), Denny’s, Golden Corral (5-9 pm), Little Caesars (11 am to 2 pm), and Starbucks.
