Free pet adoptions coming to Paramount Walmart on Saturday

PARAMOUNT — Local residents looking to add a furry friend to their family will have a special opportunity this weekend. On Saturday, May 17, Walmart and Best Friends Animal Society are teaming up to host a free pet adoption event at the Walmart Supercenter in Paramount.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., community members can meet adoptable cats, kittens, and dogs at the store’s location at 14501 Lakewood Blvd. Adoption fees will be waived for all animals, and attendees will also receive free pet supplies while supplies last.

The event is part of a larger campaign by Best Friends Animal Society to promote pet adoptions throughout May. With sponsorship from Blue Buffalo and Walmart, adoption fees will also be waived at the Best Friends Lifesaving Center in Los Angeles for the remainder of the month.
