Friends of the Downey City Library care packages

Friends of the Downey City Library board members Susan Bouris and Nancy Krusbe are pictured preparing packages for shipment to soldiers stationed overseas. The Friends offered their time and financial support to a program initiated by the library and the Downey Rotary Club. Books, “care package” items and posters made by school children in support of our servicemen and women are included in the packages.
