DOWNEY — A pair of Downey residents announced their engagement this week in front of family and friends in a romantic gondola ride in Naples. 

Hans Fritz, owner of HKF Consulting and campaign manager for many local political races, proposed to Adriana Valdez, owner of La Chula restaurant at the Downey Gateway, in perfect time for an early Valentine’s Day gift.
