Gift card fraud

Dear Editor:I want to warn people buying gift cards to check them out. I bought a restaurant gift card for my grandson as a Christmas gift. When he took his girlfriend there last week and tried to pay the bill using the card, he was told the card's money had been used. When they got in their car, his girlfriend called the number on the back of the card and found it had been used three times in November. I bought the card in December! When I get the card back from my grandson, I am going to the restaurant where I purchased the card and have words with the manager. By the way, the manager is the one who sold me the card. I also plan to write to the president of the company and let him know what is going on. So again, check out the number on the back of the card. - Doris Hannon, Downey
