Giulio Mirabella turns 95

DOWNEY -- Giulio Mirabella, a Downey resident since 1963, celebrated his 95th birthday with family at Dattilo's Italian Restaurant in Whittier on Feb. 6. Giulio's younger brother, Frank Mirabella, and Isetta Bernhard arrived from Melbourne, Australia to help celebrate. Giulio's family surprised him picking him up in a stretch limousine, and enjoyed champagne and long-stemmed chocolate-covered strawberries inside. Giulio recently renewed his driver's license and his renewed license will expire on Feb. 6, 2014, on his 100th birthday.********** Published: March 6, 2009 - Volume 7 - Issue 46
