Golf tournament taking sign-ups

DOWNEY - Registration is now underway for the sixth annual Elizabeth Miller Memorial Golf Tournament taking place Aug. 15 at the Rio Hondo Golf Club.The tournament will feature a four-person scramble format with tee time starting at 11 a.m. Thousands of dollars worth of prizes will be awarded in various competitions, including contests for longest driving, putting and hole-in-one. The tournament is limited 144 golfers. Cost is $150 per person for golf and dinner, or $30 for dinner only. Sponsorships range from $100-$6,000.
