Help for teens who can't afford prom dresses

DOWNEY - The Assisteens, the teen auxiliary of the Assistance League of Downey, is hosting a "Glamour Gowns" program to help local girls who cannot afford an outfit for prom.Girls can receive an entire outfit that includes a dress, jewelry, hand bag and shoes. The outfits will be distributed March 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Assistance League chapter house at 7749 Florence Ave. For more information, call Stacy Brabant at (310) 991-3757.
