Letter to the Editor: A coffee shop at the Rives Mansion might work

Dear Editor

Obviously it is difficult to come up with a solution on how best to utilize the Rives Mansion. At first, I had doubts about the coffee shop idea, but upon thinking the matter over further, I think there is a way for the coffee shop and the mansion to be intertwined. Let me explain.

For an added fee, customers would be allowed to imbibe their daily ration of caffeine, while sitting comfortably inside the mansion. I could see myself seated out on the porch, cup in hand, calmly watching the passing parade on a beautiful sunny day.

Furthermore, customers could bring their own coffee cups to eliminate the environmental problem of single-use plastic and paper cups.

We can dream, can’t we?
