Letter to the Editor: Condo development

Dear Editor:

The townhouses proposed to be built at the end of Foster Road on undeveloped land is between high electrical power poles (towers) and the river.

It's an ugly and dangerous place to put housing; Downey officials should be ashamed even to consider such a matter. Go see the property for yourself. The area is full of graffiti, drugs, homeless, etc.

There is an encampment of homeless in the river bed. I do not know how in a person's wildest dreams they would put family homes there and endanger people.

Come to the planning commission meeting tonight and see what you think.
