Letter to the Editor: Coyotes have a right to be here

Dear Editor:

Are we going to police the jungle or the forest because animals are trying to survive? Why don't we just kill all other species of animals so we can stop crying about the circle of life that we've been gifted in this world.

Yes, it's sad that another animal (your pet) was killed. But it's part of life and coyotes have just as much right to be here as anybody else.

The question is why can't people adapt to wildlife, rather than the wild having to adapt to us? The loss of a pet is a tragedy but one that can be avoided if pet owners take better precautionary measures.

Leave the wildlife alone and put the blame on whom it belongs: ourselves. That's the problem we need to deal with.
