Letter to the Editor: Cruelty in the world

Dear Editor:

Once again, terrorists (or terrorist types) are killing and wounding people helpless to defend themselves. This time they hit us at home, in our neighboring city of San Bernardino.

People are needlessly losing their lives and being horribly injured. One of our finest officers was shot in the gun battle that ensued; thank God his injuries weren't life-threatening.

Families of victims are devastated and will suffer the emotional scars of hurt in their hearts most, if not all, of their lives.

Is it ever going to stop? How can minds be possessed of such evil and cruelty? Well, there are many more questions than answers.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims and their families. Please, God, we could use some help on this one.
