Margaret Fagan was city secretary

DOWNEY - Margaret (Margie) Fagan, born Dec. 24, 1923 in Huntington Park, died May 30 in Whittier. She was 87.She grew up and lived her entire life in Los Angeles County, including 58 years in Downey. She was the daughter of Patrick and Victoria Fagan, who preceded her in death. She worked for Western Gear before spending the remainder of her working life with the city of Downey as an executive secretary for the building department. She golfed in retirement until an ear ailment prevented her from playing.
