Mario Kart tournament for teens July 31

DOWNEY -- Teens are invited to participate in a Mario Kart gaming tournament being held at Downey High School's Aquatic Center on Friday, July 31, from 6:30-8 p.m. 

The tournament is open to kids entering grades 6-9. Entry fee is $5 and includes a soft drink and snack. 

Participants will be placed in a random tournament bracket with best-of-three winners advancing. Prizes will be awarded for first through third places. 

Once disqualified, participants can still enjoy free play in the game truck. Participants also have access to the Downey pool for swimming and games. 

To access the pool, proper swim attire is required (no cotton shirts or shorts).
