OLPH carnival returns with rides, music and presale discounts

DOWNEY – Our Lady of Perpetual Help School will host its annual carnival April 24–26, bringing three days of rides, games, food and live entertainment to the campus at 10441 Downey Ave.

The family-friendly event will feature carnival rides, a bounce house, live music, raffles and a beer garden. A car raffle offering a chance to win a 2026 Nissan Versa will also be part of the festivities, with tickets priced at $20.

Carnival hours are scheduled for Friday from 5 to 10:30 p.m., Saturday from noon to 11 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.

Organizers are encouraging residents to take advantage of discounted pre-sale tickets ahead of the event. Sheets of 36 tickets are available for $25 during the pre-sale period, compared to $45 per sheet during the carnival.

The final opportunity to purchase pre-sale tickets will be Sunday, April 19, outside OLPH Church from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Pre-sale tickets have also been available on weekdays outside OLPH School during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up times, as well as on Fridays during limited hours.

The carnival will include a full entertainment lineup across all three days, with performances ranging from student showcases and dance groups to tribute bands and mariachi acts.
