Opening Day is Saturday for Ponytail softball

DOWNEY - Downey Ponytail will host its Opening Day this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Independence Park.Former All-American college pitcher Stacey Nelson will be in attendance to take pictures and sign autographs. Nelson pitched for the University of Florida and the U.S. women's national team. The event will also feature food, games, raffle prizes, vendors and softball games. The event is free and open to the public.
