Jack in the Box submits plans to open at Firestone & Pangborn (UPDATED)

UPDATE: The restaurant was unanimously approved by the Planning Commission.

DOWNEY – Jack in the Box, which recently closed its restaurant at Firestone Boulevard and Woodruff Avenue, has plans to open a new location just down the street at Firestone and Pangborn.

If approved by the Planning Commission on Wednesday, the new Jack in the Box would be located on the northeast corner of Firestone and Pangborn – directly across from McDonald's – on property currently occupied by a carpet store and single-family home.

Both properties would be razed to accommodate the Jack in the Box, which would measure 3,000 square feet.

Meanwhile, Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is taking over Jack in the Box's old location at Stonewood Center.
