Portofino restaurant set to open

DOWNEY -- The new Portofino Ristorante Italiano, located at the former Schezwan at Paramount Boulevard and 3rd Street, will celebrate their opening tomorrow from 6-10 p.m.The public is invited to attend and enjoy free hors d'oeuvres. Bar drinks will be available at 2 for 1 prices, and pianist Danny Guerrero will provide music. Opera and Broadway singers are also expected to be on hand, according to host Roberto Angeleno.
