‘Princess for a Day’ is March 1

DOWNEY – “Princess for a Day,” an annual event in which girls ages 5-12 spend a day with Miss Downey royalty dancing, making crafts and getting the royal treatment, will be held Sunday, March 1, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Gallatin Elementary. Tickets are $22, or $30 with a t-shirt. All proceeds benefit the Downey Rose Float Association.

Pre-registration will take place Feb. 21 from 2-5 p.m. in the dance room at the Barbara Riley Center. For questions, call Maylin Gonzalez at (562) 291-8866.
