Register early for princess event

DOWNEY -- The Downey Rose Float Association will host their second annual Princess for a Day event for young girls on March 14.Girls ages 5-12 can spend a day with the Miss Downey and Miss Teen Downey Courts and be treated like a princess. For $25, the girls will receive hair and makeup makeovers, learn a dance routine, construct a tiara craft, take photos, have lunch with the courts, and receive a goody bag. The event is limited to 125 participants and will be held inside Trinity Baptist Church, 8219 Florence Ave. Girls should wear a pink or purple shirt. Early registration will be held tomorrow from 3-4 p.m. at the church.
