Registration open for TLC virtual 5K

DOWNEY — Registration is now open for the ninth annual 5K Run/Walk for TLC, which will be held virtually this year starting Feb. 13. 

Registration is $25 for adults or $15 for kids ages 5-18, and includes a t-shirt. 

The 5K is traditionally one of the year’s largest fundraisers for the TLC Family Resource Center, which provides free health and human services to Downey students and their families. 

“Our services are making a difference to many struggling families, now more than ever before,” said Luz Perez, executive director of the TLC Center. “We invite you to join our efforts and help us help others.”

Participants will be encouraged to complete the 5K run/walk at their own pace and location, such as at a park or on a treadmill, between Feb. 13-28.
