REVIEW: Ola Restobar delivers bold flavors at fair prices
DOWNEY — After pretending to be the editor and working alongside Eric Pierce – the real editor of The Downey Patriot – I needed to reward myself with some delicious food.
As I was driving aimlessly on Downey Avenue looking for a restaurant to pop at me, I heard the sound of music (not the movie) coming from my left and I turned my head and saw a busy restaurant on the corner of Downey Avenue and 2nd Street called Ola Restobar. It looked very inviting.
I parked in the back and went inside; to my surprise there was a beautiful, full bar with big screen TV’s throughout the restaurant, even in the outside patio where I sat.
Their menu was full of glossy color pictures of delicious food and drinks. I ordered from their lunch specials $14.99 menu. My Diabla Tacos came with consome presidencial and it was delicious.
I highly recommend this restaurant and I can’t wait to go back. Good food, music, service, decor and priced fair.
