Robert LoCicero

Robert “Bob” LoCicero peacefully passed away on June 29, 2026 at his residence with the Dodgers playing in the background. He was born October 12, 1937 in Los Angeles to Frank and Lena LoCicero and moved to Downey in the late 1940s where he lived throughout his life. He graduated from Downey High School in 1955 where he excelled in baseball and was selected for the All-CIF baseball team. His image still adorns their Hall of Fame. He continued on to Orange Coast College where his team went on to finish with a 25-3 run in their final 28 games, they achieved a perfect 12-0 record in the Eastern Conference and won their historic first California State Junior College Championship in 1956. He often reflected on this as being the most fun he could have ever had playing baseball. Upon transferring and graduating from Cal State Los Angeles he went on to enjoy a career spanning 40 years with the Department of Transportation, later known as CalTrans. He is survived by his daughters, Sherrie, Tina, Jessica and Adriana; and grandchildren, Mark Anthony, Clinton, Madison, Allison and Ciella. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Antonia “Toni”; second wife, Lois; younger brother, Tom; and grandson, Matthew. He was laid to rest at Rose Hills Memorial Park on July 13, 2026.
