Sadie Hawkins dance tonight

DOWNEY - Downey middle school students are invited to a Sadie Hawkins dance tonight from 7-10 p.m. at the Gary P. McCaughan gymnasium at Apollo Park.To attend, students should be in the 6th-8th grades and have a current school ID. There will be no exceptions. A dress code will also be enforced. Boys should dress in a collared shirt and slacks with a belt. A jacket is optional but preferred. No jeans, sandals, hats or bandanas are permitted. Girls should wear a blouse or sweater that covers the stomach with a knee-length skirt, dress or "nice" slacks. No T-shirts, halter tops, jeans, sandals, hats or bandanas will be allowed. Top straps must be at least two inches wide. Admission is $6 per student, payable at the door. Snacks will be available for purchase throughout the event. For more information, call (562) 904-7238.
