SEAACA offering no-cost spay and neuter services
DOWNEY – SEAACA, in collaboration with Animal Balance, will host a no-cost spay and neuter clinic over three days beginning May 30 at SEAACA’s Care Center in Downey.
The clinic is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, Sunday, May 31, and Monday, June 1 at SEAACA, located at 9777 Seaaca St. in Downey. Services will include spay and neuter surgery, microchipping and vaccinations.
Appointments are required and limited availability and restrictions apply, according to SEAACA officials. Residents must live within SEAACA’s service area to qualify.
Organizers said all animals must be at least 8 weeks old and weigh at least 2 pounds. Due to increased medical risks, the clinic will not accommodate flat-faced dog breeds such as boxers, pugs, French bulldogs and Pekinese dogs.
SEAACA serves several Southeast Los Angeles County communities, including Downey, Bellflower, Norwalk, Paramount, Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs, South Gate and Vernon.
