Services planned for Gary Harrison

DOWNEY - Gary Gene Harrison, born Oct. 28, 1939 in South Gate, has died.He grew up in Bell Gardens and graduated from Bell Gardens High School in 1957. After some college he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served two years. He joined the special forces and was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. After being honorably discharged he became a machinist, a career he had for more than 40 years. He was married to his wife, Carolyn, for 40 years. He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Dauglash; son, Eric Harrison; and grandchildren, Brittany Dauglash, Amanda Harrison and Ethan Harrison. Memorial services will be held Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Downey.
