Super Bowl champ is keynote speaker at prayer breakfast

DOWNEY — Five-time Super Bowl champion Bruce Collie will be the keynote speaker at the 32nd annual Downey Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast set for Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Rio Hondo Event Center.

The event starts at 7:30 a.m. Tickets are $35.

An offensive lineman, Collie was drafted in the fifth round of the 1985 draft. He spent his career with the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles.

A born-again Christian, he resides in Wimberley, Texas, with his wife and 13 children.
