Third-graders tour downtown, City Hall

DOWNEY – DUSD is proud of its collaboration with Downey Art Vibe, operators of Stay Gallery, for the Stay Young program. Stay Young aims to inspire creativity within our youth. Through our partnership with Downey Art Vibe, students are encouraged to engage their community through student art exhibits, classroom field trips, art education programs, and student-run program initiatives.

Through its various subprograms, Stay Young allows students to experience leadership and collaboration, and learn firsthand about local culture, history, economy, and government.

On Tuesday, Mrs. Graf’s third grade classroom from Unsworth Elementary visited Stay Gallery, toured Downtown Downey, and learned about City Hall.
