Volleyball teams fight cancer

DOWNEY - Downey and Warren high schools, normally rivals on the athletic fields, will unite Tuesday as they raise money for breast cancer research.The volleyball teams hope to raise $5,000 when Downey hosts Warren at 6 p.m. "Dig Pink" T-shirts will be sold for $10, with all proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The public is invited to attend.
