Volunteer openings at Kaiser

DOWNEY – Kaiser Permanente hospital in Downey has volunteer opportunities, including in its hospital and hospice. Hospital volunteers work as concierges, greeters and way-finders. Volunteers must be at least 20 years old and able to commit four hours weekly for a year.

Hospice volunteers must be at least 21 years old, able to spare 2-4 hours weekly, and have transportation.

Hospice care provides medical services, emotional support and spiritual resources for people and their families who are in the final stages of a terminal illness, such as cancer or heart failure.
