Volunteers to be honored at banquet

DOWNEY - The Downey Coordinating Council will host its 58th annual Community Service Awards banquet May 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rio Hondo Event Center.The banquet also serves as an installation for the Coordinating Council's new slate of officers, which include president Cindy Galinda; first vice president Kathy Blackburn; second vice president Cleola Brown; secretary Greg Lazzeroni; treasurer Carol Rowland; and auditor Christie Pierce.
