Warren High’s boys cross country team

Warren High’s boys cross country team finished in fifth place at the CIF state meet held in Fresno last month. After a season plagued by injury and illness, the team adopted the motto “Survive and Advance” this year, which they did my winning their sixth league title in a row. They have reached the CIF Finals six of the past seven years, and advanced to the state meet the last two years.

This year’s team consisted of seniors Jonathan Rodriguez, Andres Barragan, Benjamin Gonzalez, and Freddy Menendez; juniors Martin Lopez, Matthew Sanchez, Bryan Pluma, Sergio Santana, Rickey Pena and Christopher Estrada; and sophomore Alex Garber.
