Young student cast in play

WEST HOLLYWOOD - Downey resident Genesis Perez stars in L.A. Youth Theatre's production of "Rumplestilskin," playing June 26-27 in West Hollywood.Genesis, a fifth grader at Downey Christian School, has attended Downey schools and recently participated in the Miss Junior Downey Pageant. She was a cheerleader while attending Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, and volunteers with the San Gabriel Humane Society. "Rumplestilskin" will be presented at Fiesta Hall in Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd., in West Hollywood. Performances will be given June 26 at 1 p.m. and June 27 at noon. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $7.50 for students and seniors.
