Youths extend helping hand

DOWNEY - More than 50 young men and women from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Downey Stake) worked at the church storehouse in Los Angeles on Nov. 24 as they lent a hand for Thanksgiving.The volunteers, all ages 12-18, helped can items such as milk and flour for people in need of food. "This was their way of showing how thankful they are for the many blessings they have in their lives," the church said in a statement.
