Mariachi Rock Revolution is a metal-fueled, Mariachi-infused spectacle of sight and sound paying homage to the tradition of Mariachi through an unprecedented fusion with modern rock and electronica. The musical brainchild of Austin Latino Rocker/Electric Violinist Haydn Vitera, the show features traditional Mariachi instruments such as trumpet and vihuela combined with amazing electric violin in the context of a modern metal band. Master classes will introduce students to the basics of Mariachi music and also cover stage performance and rock improvisation, culminating in a group of students sharing the stage with MRR in concert.
