Bell launches bus system

BELL - The city of Bell, still regrouping and working to regain the trust of its residents in wake of its City Council scandal two years ago, has announced a new low-cost shuttle service for residents. The shuttle service, called La Campana, debuts Friday. Rides on La Campana cost 25 cents. The route is 7.5 miles long and includes stops in nearby Cudahy and Bell Gardens. It is funded by Prop C, a sales tax approved by voters in 1980 to fund various transportation projects throughout Los Angeles County.
